Very well actually.
It was nerve racking for Pyrrha of course. She didn’t know how she was going to survive a whole week with her boyfriends family after meeting them only a few times. When they arrived in Arcadia however, all of Jaune’s sisters and his parents welcomed her with open arms.
After a big group hug (dog pile) with Jaune (he was at the bottom of the pile), the Arc family ushered her into their large home. After getting settled in Jaune’s room (his mother insisted), they all wanted to talk to her over dinner. Asking her stuff like how she was such a great fighter, how she did her hair, and how she and Jaune started dating. Jaune kept apologizing to her. Pyrrha actually enjoyed how close everyone seemed.
The following week was joyful and happy for Pyrrha. The Arc family shared some of there family traditions with her like decorating the tree (they take turns doing an ornament one at a time), baking cookies with mama Arc (turns out Jaune, next to his mom, is the best baker in the family), hearing Jaune’s dad tell a bunch of stories (they were all new to Pyrrha, but only a few were unknown to the Arc children), and watching every Christmas move possible.
It even snowed one day and they all went out and had a blast. Snow forts, snowmen, and a snow ball fight that maaaaaay have gotten a bit to competitive.
The big day finally came. Christmas morning everyone was up and jumping with excitement for the day. They raced down the stairs and into the family room. Under and around the tree were dozens of presents. They took turns ripping of wrapping paper and seeing what they got. Even Pyrrha had some! When they were all done, Jaune surprised Pyrrha with a present to her. She didn’t want to accept it, as she hadn’t gotten him one, but Jaune almost begged her to take it so she did. It was a small wrapped box that fit in her palm. She gently, but quickly, took removed the paper and opened the small green box inside it. The female Arcs looking over her shoulder.
Inside was a beautiful pair of stud earrings with a pure, flawless cut sapphire on each. The girls behind Pyrrha let out an “ooooooooh” seeing them. Pyrrha was speechless. She’d seen plenty of jewelry in her life, in stores and gift from other suitors, but these, these were so much more. She struggled to form words, but got out, “J-Jaune, these are perfect!”
“I’m really glad you like them Pyr. I wanted to get you something that you could always have, but wouldn’t get in the way in a fight.”
Jaune’s dad stepped up behind Jaune and put on his shoulder. He smiled at his son and spoke, “Those are a old heirloom of the Arc clan. Jaune asked a few days ago if he could give them to you. He must care a lot about you to give those to you.”
Jaune let out a groan. “Daaaaad!”
Pyrrha tackled him into the couch with a hug, still carefully holding earring box. “Jaune. I love them. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
Jaune smiled up to her. “Merry Christmas Pyrrha.”
“Merry Christmas Jaune.”
The giggles from the Arc sisters broke them out of their moment. With a blush, she got off him and put the earrings on with smile. They went on to eat a grand dinner that night and video call other Arc family members, most of which were shocked to see Pyrrha Nikos among them AND dating Jaune, but were very happy for the two of them.
They left for Vale two days later, full of happy memories and excitement for next year.
